Grant OS builds expenditure from imported bank transactions, so the figure in a funder return is the figure that left your account, and mismatches between payments and recorded expenses are flagged for review.

Financial Returns then assemble budgeted, actual and variance columns with a written reason for each variance, ready to export to CSV or email to a grant officer without rebuilding the numbers by hand.
